How to use

Setup

1. In Safari, open Settings > Extensions, then turn on TabBack and click ‘Always Allow on Every Website’.

   TabBack needs the permission to work. Everything happens on your device — your data never leaves it. You can confirm this with network monitoring tools like LuLu by Objective-See, which show that TabBack never connects to the internet.

2. Open TabBack Settings, then register your shortcut.

   If your shortcut doesn’t work, restart Safari while TabBack is running, then restart TabBack while Safari is running.

Usage

• Press the shortcut once to return to the previous tab.
• Hold the modifier keys (⌃, ⌥, or ⌘) while tapping the non-modifier key to cycle through recent tabs.
• Press the reverse shortcut to cycle through recent tabs in the opposite direction.
• Press Esc to cancel tab switching.
• Use the cursor to select a tab in the tab switcher.
